More talk about the Enlightenment ideology and the "echos." The three main concepts being carried out through this time of the enlightenment consisted of Popular Sovereignty, liberty, and equality. Being the back bone to the cause of the American revolution that later inspired the french soldiers that helped the Americans with their own revolution. Because of this the Haitian revolt occurred which resulted in the first successful slave revolt. Shortly after the Haitian revolt the Spanish-American revolution occurred pushing towards a better life with the concepts of freedom and equality. This ideology was not only used for revolution but for reforms and social movements such as the women rights movement and the abolishment of slavery.

Europe in the IOTN Europe wanted in on the IOTN Tried trading post empire: pay tariff and the British will protect you from being conquered  Portuguese saw them as pirates due to the way they "protected" others Spain conquered the Philippines named it after King Philip II: gave them closer proximity to the IOTN Creation of "The companies": private company with government support Obviously the world leader at the time seemed to be China and Europe wanted the spotlight. Nothing seemed to work in conquering closer land, tariffs, companies nothing to bring them closer to obtaining control and being apart of the IOTN The chapter later explained the importance of the fur trade in North American and Serbia. The native Americans and Europe and Serbia and Russia later ending in a bond being created and Serbia paying Russia in fur.

Ch13

Early Modern Area (1450-1750) also known as the "age of empire" violence spread through empire buildings while the rise of globalization  Europeans had advantages when conquering Americas due to their advanced weapons and innovations They did this because of the lust for riches and idea of expansion not just the expansion of area but to expand their religion and ideas upon other regions   I believe the cause for this was because of the positive influence this had on the people, so much more that it overweighed all the bad that they had been doing. When any group (Spanish, European, Americas, and Chinese) look to expand is because of the idea of spreading not just ideas but religion, wealth among their citizens at the cost of the group being conquered.
